2021-22 Action Goal for MBUSD: Expand the Elementary Music Program for Upper Grade Levels
MB Music Coalition will continue to engage with District leadership during the coming school year with the goal of increasing music instruction to twice a week for 4th and 5th grades.
Why It Is a Priority:
- To align with best practices
- To address learning loss and increased student frustration due to online learning
- To enable greater exploration by students among the music disciplines
- To set students up for success by structuring the best possible environment to receive music instruction
2020-21 Action Goal for the Coalition: Launch Engaging Student Events, Communicate with the Community, Foster a Sense of Family
MB Music Coalition’s goal for itself during the 2021-22 school year is to launch engaging extracurricular events for all interested students, continue to keep interested community members updated on events that impact the music program, and seek to foster a sense of family among the music community k-12.
